Congratulations to the members of the Chifley College Rock Eisteddfod Challenge on making it to the State Final. Ms Chase and Ms Davison are to be commended for their enthusiasm, encouragement and outstanding contributions they have made to the success of this group.

Congratulations also to the recipients of awards at the recognition assemblies in week 3. I encourage all students to strive for excellence, participate and take advantage of the many opportunities they have as a member of Chifley College Bidwill Campus. I look forward to many more students celebrating success in Term 4.

Year 12 have completed their Trial HSC examinations and have been given extensive feedback to support them to realise their potential in their final exams. All Year 12 teachers are working hard to provide every opportunity to achieve their best possible.

Ms Pollard has been diligent in organising extra support for students in the critical period of preparation for their HSC examination. I encourage all parents and careers to likewise support their students and encourage them to take advantage of this extra tutorial support that is being offered In week 4 we have been “LOOKING FORWARD, LOOKING BLAK” with our NAIDOC week activities. Many thanks to all teachers, students and community members who contributed to making this a very special and successful celebration!

Thanks also to Mr Henderson, Mrs Quayle Mr Hicks and Ms Soon for organising the field trip to the snow in Week 5, and giving up their time to allow our students to have this fantastic opportunity!

Finally, I would again like to emphasise how positive it is for our students when we work in partnership. Students have a voice through their elected SRC and parents/careers are always welcome to participate in our regular ‘Chit-Chat’ evenings. Please contact the school to seek information or clarify any concerns!

I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know many more members of our school community.

Mrs Wilson
Deputy Principal
